During the 2023 Home Craft Days Festival, there will be a drawing for this beautiful handmade quilt . The top of the quilt was pieced by hand by Imogene Bondurant, who passed away in 2001 at the age of 90. The top was given to the Pleasant Quilters by Imogene’s daughter, Sylvia Cleary, it had been in her mother’s blanket chest for years. The Pleasant Quilters hand quilted the rest of the quilt so that it could be donated to HCD. This represents an art that has been passed down from generation to generation. It is slowly becoming a lost art. Not that many groups still gather to hand quilt. However, the Pleasant Quilters meet once a week and carry on this tradition and love doing it.

Tickets for the quilt will be 5 dollars each and can be purchased at the information tent anytime during the Home Craft Days Festival. You don’t have to be present to win. Drawing will be Sunday afternoon at 2:00.
